Den Helder and WGT Pipeline

Den Helder gas treatment plant is a key processing facility in the North Western part of the Netherlands. It processes both HiCal and LoCal gas at separate plants at the site. In addition, there is also a section which processes the gas from the Nogat system, in which ONE is not a partner.

The plant is operated by NAM. The facility was built between 1974 and 1975 and went into operation in 1976, when first gas (HiCal) entered the system via the K13-A platform entry point and the WGT. The facility is the receiving point for gas evacuated via the HiCal WGT Pipeline and the JDA LoCal pipeline.

The 36-inch WGT Pipeline is a HiCal gas gathering system, originally laid to evacuate gas from the NAM-operated JDA fields and Pennzoil operated fields to the west.
