Q16-AThe Q16-A field was discovered in 1989 by the Q16-07 well, which found gas in high quality Triassic-aged sandstone reservoirs at true vertical depths around 3000m and was tested at a maximum rate of 10,000 boe/d of dry gas from a 80m gross interval. The Q16-A Field has been developed using a custom built subsea completion which is currently tied back via a 10km 8” pipeline to the P18-A platform. ONE is a partner in this platform, which is operated by TAQA. In early 2011, ONE acquired NAM’s interest in Q16-A and took over operatorship of the field. ONE's interest in block Q16a is 41.7%. The Q16a partnership further comprises EBN, Lundin and Total. In 2011 ONE discovered the Q16-Maas field just 8 km to the south-east of Q16-A. ONE is re-processing the seismic to better structurally image the field and explore for further near field gas accumulations. |
