Halbart Völker

CFO (1964) 

Halbart has spent 17 years of his career in banking. After obtaining his law degree at Leiden University in 1991 he joined the oil and Gas department of  MeesPierson where he became familiar with the financing aspects of the energy sector. He spent a number of years in the UK market where MeesPierson, later Fortis, was an active financier of independent oil & gas companies like Premier Oil, British Borneo and independent power companies. In 2000 he joined NIBC to initiate the corporate finance and lending activities in the energy sector which became an important and successful activity for NIBC. In 2006 Halbart was appointed Managing Director. After almost 10 years with NIBC, Halbart joined Oranje Nassau Energie (ONE) in January 2010, where he is responsible for the equity and debt funding aspects of ONE's growth strategy.
